Election Information for May 19, 2026 Primary/Nonpartisan Election

The last day to register and be eligible to vote in May 19, 2026 Primary/Nonpartisan Election will be April 20, 2026. This will also be the last day to make any address changes prior to the election.

Absentee-by-Mail Voting will be available for all registered voters. To obtain an Absentee-by-Mail ballot you may:

Absentee-by-Mail ballots for UOCAVA (military and overseas citizens) voters will be mailed beginning March 31, 2026. All other ballots will be mailed beginning April 20, 2026. The last day to request an absentee-by-mail ballot will be May 8, 2026.

Voted Absentee-by-Mail ballots mail may be returned to the Elections Office through the Postal Service, in-person, by a family/household member, or by using the Official Absentee Ballot Drop Box, located inside the Elections Office at 100 Starksville Avenue North, Suite B, Leesburg, GA 31763. The ballot drop box will be available beginning April 27, 2026 and close on May 15, 2026 at 5:00 pm.

Advance-In-Person Voting will be open to all eligible voters beginning April 27, 2026 at the Elections and Registration Office, 100 Starksville Avenue, North, Suite B, Leesburg, Georgia. Ballots may be cast Monday through Friday between 8:15 am and 5:00 pm. Advance-in-Person voting will also be available on Saturday, May 2, 2026 and Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. The last day a voter may vote an Advance-in-Person ballot is Friday, May 15, 2026.
