The last day to register and be eligible to vote in the statewide and local portion of the June 16, 2026 Primary/Nonpartisan Election was April 20, 2026. The registration deadline for new (first-time registration) Georgia voters who wish to vote in the federal portion of the June 16, 2026 Runoff will be May 18, 2026.
Absentee-by-Mail Voting will be available for all registered voters. To obtain an Absentee-by-Mail ballot you may:
- Use the ballot request portal available at https://securemyabsenteeballot.sos.ga.gov/s/
- Download an application from the Elections & Registrations webpage
- Request an application from the Elections Office at (229) 759-6002
- Visit the Elections Office, 100 Starksville Avenue North, Suite B, Leesburg, Georgia
Absentee-by-Mail ballots will be mailed as soon as possible. The last day to request an absentee-by-mail ballot will be June 5, 2026.
Voted Absentee-by-Mail ballots mail may be returned to the Elections Office through the Postal Service, in-person, by a family/household member, or by using the Official Absentee Ballot Drop Box, located inside the Elections Office at 100 Starksville Avenue North, Suite B, Leesburg, GA 31763. The ballot drop box will be available beginning June 8, 2026 and close on June 12, 2026 at 5:00 pm.
Advance-In-Person Voting will be open to all eligible voters beginning June 8, 2026 at the Elections and Registration Office, 100 Starksville Avenue, North, Suite B, Leesburg, Georgia. Ballots may be cast Monday through Friday between 8:15 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. The last day a voter may cast an Advance-in-Person ballot is Friday, June 12, 2026.
