County Offices Closed for Martin Luther King, Jr. Day

The offices of the Lee County Board of Commissioners will be closed Monday, January 19, 2026 in observance of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Holiday. County offices will reopen for regular business on Tuesday, January 20, 2026. Residential garbage collection will not be affected and will run as scheduled.

The offices of the Lee County Board of Commissioners will be closed Wednesday, December 24, 2025 through Friday, December 26, 2025 in observance of the Christmas holiday. County offices will resume normal business hours on Monday, December 29, 2025. Utilities Authority December 2025 Meeting Change

Homestead Exemption Recalculation (County M&O Only)

The Lee County Tax Assessor’s Office is still actively working to correct an error in the calculation of Homestead Exemptions applied to property owners who submitted their Homestead application during the appeal period of July 1, 2025, through August 15, 2025. 2026 Occupational Tax Renewals

The Lee County Business License Department has begun the renewal process for 2026. All occupations that require a state license or certification must be provided with each application. Computation and Canvassing for the November 4, 2025 Special General Election

Pursuant to O.C.G.A. 21-2-492 notice is hereby given that the computation and canvassing of the returns of votes cast in the November 4, 2025 Special General Election will take place in the Elections and Registration Office, 100 Starksville Avenue North, Suite B, Leesburg, Georgia. Computation and canvassing will begin Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at 9:00 am. The Board of Elections and Registration will meet to certify the returns on November 10, 2025 at 9:00 am.
